A Vintage Bridal Shower

Goodness. I had so much fun with this shower for my dear friend, Elizabeth.
Her wedding colors are cornflower and pink, so I took those and went vintage, using things I already had like mason jars, vintage sheets, an old blue typewriter and pom-pom flowers that just happened to be blooming in my backyard.  Then I added pink stripey straws, pink lemonade, and lots of cake. : )

I'll post details about the favors, food, and decorations over the next few days!

  1. oh girl....this is so adorable! everything you're posting on lately is giving me flashbacks of last summer/fall. i gave a wedding shower a few weeks before i moved...didn't really have time, but i did it. i also had a garage sale around this time...a lot of work, but worth the extra $$! have a great wednesday!

  5. EXQUISITE!

So delicately feminine and JUST fancy enough without being too posh. FUN!

Your pictures are perfect; love how the pastel hues complement the floral daintiness.

BUT...the cake "takes the cake"!! Can't wait to see the details of this delectable masterpiece.

Cailin, I've been a devoted fan ever since I spotted your blue kitchen table project. I've been working on my own blog for about a month now and I hope to publish my first blog post on Friday. I still haven't decided on a name for it!

Thanks for being such an inspiration.

    1. Hey Cailin,

Just wanted to let you know that I finally got my little blog up and running and would be delighted if you dropped by and said 'hello' if you need a break from all that packing that awaits you!

Still looking forward to the recipe for that beautiful pink cake you baked up for the vintage bridal shower, which I'm still oooohing and ahhhhing over!

      Have a great week!
