Make Yourself Some Lovely Curtains: A No-Sew Tutorial

You may remember this fabric, I purchased at Hobby Lobby on clearance a while back.  It was destined to be made into curtains, but not curtains that were sewn.  For one, I don't have a machine, and for two, it was time to try something new.

So, I picked up a pack of this Stitch Witchery at Hobby Lobby ($3.29 plus 40% off coupon).  I hadn't used this before but my sister was confident it would do the trick.

First, I folded over the top edge just eye-balling a straight fold and pressing down with my hand.   I could have folded over more for a more substantial hem, but I didn't have quite enough length for a big hem.

Then I placed the Stitch Witchery underneath the fold.

Then placed a clean, damp cloth on top and pressed the iron flat down. Picking the iron up and pressing (not sliding the iron) as I went down the line.

Then I did the same thing with the side.

And here they are.  I love having the clip curtain rings as it makes it so easy to switch out curtains and to make some as simple as these.  These rods were here when we moved in - someday I'll get around to moving them up a little higher.

My family room is feeling quite happy. Quite.
