Dreaming of Order

Dreaming of the absolute soothing wonderfulness of pretty, orderly spaces....

 Spaces like this...

And this...

and this...

and this...

 and especially this...

 ooooo, and this too.

 and this....

and very much all of this...

Because right now, my friends, it is a messy Monday here at our home.
Everything feels undone and in complete disarray...we have ten days till the moving trucks come.

And just to keep things interesting, we decided now would be the best time to overhaul my filing system for the bookkeeping work I do.  These tables and papers have been permanent fixtures in the living room for two weeks.   I'm pretty over them.
  {My professional organizing friend actually staged an intervention - bless her heart}

Also, last week the twins decided now would be the perfect time to start potty training.

That would be two little people trying to learn to control their bowels at the same time.

How can you say "no" when they suddenly decide that they are a "big girl/boy" and are determined to wear underwear and use the toilet?  You have to go with it.

So we clean up accidents, we clean up accidents much.

 Nevertheless,

 right?

  1. Cailan,
You are doing great. You will once again live in an organized space, but for now just enjoy the adventure!
I cannot wait to see you settling into your new home. I know it is a bit bittersweet leaving the old tho.
    Best wishes,
    Susan

  2. Potty training on top of moving and organizing files!? You are amazing!! Everything WILL be OK! You will look back and laugh. I love your inspiration photos of the organized spaces. I wish I had a bigger house so I would have room for one of those amazing shelves to hold my dishes and whatnots...

  10. I just found your blog and love what you have created here. I normally wouldn't have commented yet but after reading this post (and those following it), I thought I should say bless your heart! I've moved a bunch of times and it has never been easy but I've never had potty training twins! I know I don't know you and I hope you don't mind but I've said a prayer for you today. It will be ok!
